Our Trip to the Museum...

A few Saturdays ago, we went on an adventure to the Natural History Museum!
We had fun taking pictures and just being... well, silly.
Here are a few pictures that we took on that day...

My husband floating through space.

Me flying through space.

Flash Flood!

He spent some time in a jail cell.

Until I needed some privacy.

We love each other.

Silly, silly, silly.

We ended the trip with blizzards from Dairy Queen
[which disappeared too quickly for pictures].
And then spent the evening playing in the glorious rain that came our way!

No luck.

No luck with that job I wanted. I'm still searching.

In the meantime, I've almost decided that if I can't find a job, I'll make one.
I'm thinking of starting something where I can make things... and then sell them.
Like on etsy or something.

Now I just have to determine what I could make.

On the hunt...

Since [before] this glorious day....

[ p.s. I was VERY sick this day. :( ]

... I have been on a hunt... a JOB hunt.
I'm still on this hunt.
I had another interview last Wednesday. They liked me, but haven't made their decision yet.
I am hopeful. Let's all pray that I get this job. Okay? Okay!

The husband has started school. I'm a tad bit jealous.
This is my first time ever not starting school.
From preschool to five years of college.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to be done! I just can't describe how badly I want a job.
[Especially this most recent interviewed job.]

Fingers crossed.

[ Another pic. from that glorious day. Poor, sick me. But look how beautiful the color of his shirt is. Lovely. ]

That's all for now!

Our 1st Anniversary!

On Friday, July 1st we celebrated our first anniversary!
We have now officially been married for ONE year!
We started celebrating a few days before by going to Applebee's... yum!
We are unable to resist their boneless buffalo wings.

On Friday, the official day, I gave Briggs his wonderful present.
I got him two of his favorite movies: Star Trek and Kung Fu Panda.
He loves them and we've already watched them both since that day.

I also made him the best card ever. But it is too beautiful to show on here.

My husband came home from with with a dozen red roses just for me!
I love having flowers in the home and he is so good to get them for me!
He also revealed that he had ordered me a present. This little beauty...

A barbie inspired by Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night.

I had been eying this lovely lady for a couple of weeks.
It was made available to order on our birthday.
My wonderful husband called and ordered it just for me!
It came less than a week later and she is beautiful.
I love barbies. I collect barbies.
This barbie is perfect for me because it incorporates something else I love:
Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night. My favorite panting. Wonderful.

It was a great anniversary!
We capped off the week by eating at Red Robin
and spending lots of time together!
We can't wait to see what year two has in store for us!

Do You Hear the People Sing?

On June 11th we headed over to Arizona State University's Gammage Auditorium to see Les Misérables! I wanted to take some pictures around Gammage, but I didn't have my camera. My husband was super nice to me; not only did he let me purchase the tickets several months ago, he let me buy this shirt before the show began! Here is a picture of me awkwardly modeling my new attire...

I was so excited to see Les Misérables. This was my third time seeing it at Gammage and it ws as beautiful as ever. This was my husband's first time seeing the show and I think he had a good time! There was a nine- [I'm guessing] year-old boy sitting on the other side of him who looked bored out of his mind. I kept thinking, "This is not a show for one so young!" BUT, we had a fabulous time. :o)

If I were to play a character from Mes Mis, I would be Eponine.

This is Lea Salonga on the left, my favorite Eponine. This is me on the right.
Yep, I think I could pull off the part.

I made my husband pick a person who he would be too. He decided on Javert. I agreed that would be a good part for him. And, I'm always right.

I will remember the 2011 Summer as being...

... sick.
Since May, when summertime begins in Arizona, I have been sick! I've had pink eye, a stomach bug, urinary tract infection, sinus infection, a cold, laryngitis?, and now only the sore throat still remains; I hope this is the last sickness I get for awhile. I better be getting it all out of the way now so that [hopefully] I'll be getting a teaching job and won't be able to afford getting sick in the Fall.

Luckily we have still been able to take a few [tiny] trips this summer. First, as mentioned in an earlier post we had a weekend get-away to Sedona, Arizona. We also had a three-day camping trip with my family at Upper Creek Canyon. It was our first time camping together. It was fun spending the days with my husbands, siblings, parents, and nieces and nephews. Can we please go back again soon?
